Clanmil Ireland to transfer all homes and tenancies to Tuath Housing

Tuath Housing Association (Tuath) and Clanmil Housing Association Ireland CLG (Clanmil Ireland) are pleased to announce that they have agreed to progress a stock transfer of homes and tenancies from Clanmil Ireland to Tuath.

The proposed transfer is intended to provide a strong, long-term outcome for tenants by bringing together the experience, expertise and resources of two established Approved Housing Bodies. The initiative is grounded in a shared commitment to tenants and ensuring the continuous long-term delivery of high-quality, sustainable housing services. Both organisations share a strong track record in housing provision and a common purpose to support individuals and families through the provision of secure, affordable homes within thriving communities.

The transfer provides an opportunity to bring together the complementary strengths of both organisations, enhancing governance, operational capability and long-term sustainability while ensuring continued high-quality services for tenants.

The Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority (AHBRA) has been notified. Both organisations have agreed that tenants’ interests will be a primary focus and that the delivery of high-quality services and day-to-day operations will continue as normal and that staff will be supported through the process. All appropriate governance, due diligence and approvals will be completed before finalisation.

The proposed collaboration reflects the Government’s policy direction of encouraging consolidation within the Approved Housing Body sector, enabling organisations to strengthen capacity, build resilience and support the delivery of social and affordable housing at greater scale.
